Sample plan
Invite a stratified random sample of Pennywell customers who have never opened a savings pot, drawn from the account database, with age strata matching the four target bands. Target 700 usable completed surveys, with quotas of 175 completes per age band (18-34, 35-54, 55-74, 75+); invite in waves and send reminders until each quota is filled. Important caveat: 175 completes per age band gives a maximum 95% confidence interval of about ±7.4 percentage points, not the requested ±5 points. Meeting ±5 points for every age band requires approximately 385 completes per band (about 1,540 total), so the total sample size or precision target must be revised.
